Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor is, by some margin, the largest of the six Area Partnerships in terms of geographical area. As the name implies, this Area Board covers the electoral wards of Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor. It also covers the towns of Ramsbottom and Tottington, together with a number of surrounding villages and townships including Shuttleworth, Summerseat, Holcombe Brook, Rowlands, Walshaw, Greenmount, Hawkshaw, Walmersley, Nangreaves and Affetside. The area also contains the great majority of the District's Greenbelt and open moorland and is bisected by the River Irwell.
